About Canoe-About

Canada is famous for its waterways and canoe routes, and has a long history of voyageurs and couriers-de-bois exploring the beauty of the wilderness.

Canoe-About is focused on this beauty and the adventure of the wilderness. From 1984-2006, Canoe-About offered courses in canoe tripping participation, leadership and instruction with special attention on safety, handling emergency situations, no-impact camping, and leading canoe trips from the initial planning stages to the safe return home. We now refer you to Paddle Canada and Ontario Recreational Canoeing and Kayaking Association.

Where are we?

Canoe-About is based in Kincardine at the base of the Bruce Peninsula in Ontario, on the shore of Lake Huron just south of the Saugeen River.
